Having the high waters as the major dilemma, and as i was about to ride the jeepney to Dapitan, Oh great heavens! My other slipper was washed away from my foot! I could not believe myself! I just bought that slippers. And i was not willing to give up on finding it. I just borrowed the money, and i looked all over for that under the cars on the flooded street. But i never did saw it. I didn't knew where it went. I waded from Times Plaza to Masagana Market looking crazy. Then i prayed,

"Lord, HELP me out of this
wretched place ~ AMEN."

And at that instance, as i looked up, i saw not the other pair of my shoe, but the LRT sign board. Yes. God gave me an idea to take the LRT. I phoned mom and dad who were both hundreds of miles away in the Visayan region, to tell them that my shoe have been washed away and they told me to calm down and let it go. And there, i left that shoe behind. I walked with just one shoe on my foot. Never felt that stupid before. With only P29.00 on my purse, i paid P15.00 for a ride.Then what now? Only P14.00 left. Would i ever get home? I am panicking but i let God move for me. I had the ride and went off at Tayuman station.

The Lord loves me. There was barely any water in Tayuman st. I walked the street shrugging and hopeless, my face marked with despair and gloom. I couldn't manage to smile. I gained large eye bags! And i became pale. Then I passed by some tricyle drivers by a mall and asked them, "Kuya, magkano Blumentritt - Dapitan?" "Blumentritt?" he reapeted. It's obvious they don't know it because they're stupid. "Ahhhh, P150.00 na lang, baha kasi eh." "150!? grabe naman 'wag na lang!" i said. Then i turned back and another man went after me, "Magkano ba kasi gusto mo?" I don't do good with dealing so i said, "Magkano ba?" and then he thought again. I can see the fraud in his eyes. "100 hatid kita." And that does it. No more deal. I am leaving. "Ah! grabe naman!" i frowned and went away. "Magkano ba kasi gusto mo!? Ikaw kasi magsabe!" I ignored those hoax, "Languyin mo na lang hanggang don!" they yelled.

But just as i went off, a Tricyle passed by. I waved my hand on it, and it stopped. "Kuya, Blumentritt - Dapitan!" i said. The driver gestured it's ok with him. "Magkano?" i asked him. He thought for a while. I can see the hesitation in his eyes. "50." he immediately said. With out any word, i said, "SIGE!" and I went in. He drove me to my house and i'm glad I've seen our street at last, not a sign of the deluge. I am planning to let my lolo pay for the bill for a while. and so i said, "Wait lang po manong ha." I went in to the gate and saw my Lolo and my Lola feeding and watering our pet birds. They wore happy faces, as if no trouble have gone. And that was the most beautiful thing i've ever seen since i was trapped.
I WAS HOME. and it felt nice.

Then I said, "Lo, peram po muna ng 50, babayaran ko lang po yung tricyle." Then my lola was surprised to see me home alright, perhaps still alive. "Ay Dios ko po! Praise God! Praise God! Eto na si Eldan! Ay mabuti naman! Salamat po Dios! andito na ang apo ko! Nag-alala ko sayo! Salamat! Jose, dali dumukot ka ng 50! pambayad sa tricycle! salamat naman!"

And i was indeed home. I love home. I love my family. I love my LOVING family, who were waiting for my to get home. My grandparents who worry for me and take good are of us, My parents though far away at that time, calms me down and makes me strong. Then i saw my sister and i was happy. Then, I quickly took a nice bath, dressed nicely, combed my hair, brushed my teeth and went to church with them to thank God for His loving mercy.
